Genesee County will be hosting a community input session for the Recycling & Education Center project.

The event will take place on 9/22/2026 at 5:30 PM in the Zanke Ballroom on the 1st floor of the County Administration Building located at 324 S. Saginaw St. in Flint.

Show up, ask why they made the decision to put this in Flint? Ask why there wasn't transparency. Ask why residents will be forced to undergo the consequences of having an industrial toxic waste facility near homes and next to the Flint River without clarity? Who benefits from this? Why have the contracts grown proportionally since this was introduced? 

Staff will present the facts of the project and be available for a Q&A with residents.
