I did this about a month ago, but if you haven’t yet make sure you go to the NHTSA website to file a complaint. They will ask for your VIN and a description of the issue. Filing an official report will force the government to look into the issue. Also make sure to call GM customer service and start a case, they have not been helpful in any way for me, but the more people to call in about the issue the better!
