You can still take your partners surname

The campaign doesn't mean people can't take their partners surname, as Mr And Ms Bloggs. Families can share a surname if they want, this is just an issue with the title showing the marital status of the woman but not of the man. If it isn't necessary for the man why is it needed for the woman?
