Brenton Davis had the picture above on his official Campaign page before he took it down. Guess he is proud of robbing Erie County of its Public LIbrary! And Gannon is helping him! Don't let Brenton Davis and Gannon steal our Public Library.
Help us prevent Gannon, a private entity from taking space from the public library for 25 years at rock bottom rent without public review. There are lots of other places their worthy project could go but we have only one Public Library in the city of Erie, the only space left on the bayfront that is public!
Gifts are at the forefront of our minds. The best gift you could give Erie County children, their families and others who rely on the Blasco Library this year is to protect the Blasco Library from Brenton Davis and Gannon.
Ask others you know that live in Erie County or are Gannon Alumni anywhere in the world to sign our petition and write to and contact the people listed below.
Although it has merit, it does not belong in our public library. The issue goes beyond Gannon's agreement with Erie County to move into public space at Blasco Library. We believe the very future of our public library system is at risk.
Placing Gannon's research center inside a public library is at odds with why public libraries exist — for members of the public, not for private institutions.
