Erie County Council will meet Monday 12/18 at 6:00 PM at the Erie County Court House for a special meeting to vote on whether to allow Brenton Davis to make cuts to the Public Library and to other human services.
Show up for the meeting to voice your opposition to these draconian cuts that seemed designed to destroy the public library. Along with the Gannon lease Davis is causing havoc that will surely lead to the demise of the Blasco Library.
We need at least FIVE council votes against the county executive cuts in order to overturn them.
Call or email your councilperson and spread the word. County Executive Brenton Davis proposes cuts to the Library, the Human Relations Commission and Pleasant Ridge Manor and others.
It is very important that you call or email and show up for the special County Council Meeting on Monday 12 18 at 6:00 at the Erie County Court House on 6th Street (arrive by 5:45) to attend.
You can speak for 3 minutes or just sit and be supportive if public speaking is not for you. But your emails, calls and presence matter! The Library cuts not only affect the Blasco Library, they will negatively impact all the branch and independent libraries they service.

His district is Erie and Millcreek-- so both the Millcreek Branch AND the Blasco Library. He may not read his emails before the Monday Meeting and he may be hard to reach.
