In the year 2014, the internet was blown away when Joel, a member of a streaming community called Vinesauce, discovered a bootleg Mario character called Grand Dad. It became a meme, and that meme hasn't died yet. However, the unfortunate truth of this character is that it isn't a canonical Mario character. I, for one, am highly confused and insulted by this. How could the quality of Grand Dad be completely ignored by Nintendo? In the future, I wish not only to have Grand Dad be a part of the Mario Universe, but to have him incorporated into the main series as a playable character with his own perks. I think it's important that not only Nintendo recognizes the genius behind the Chinese knockoff, but you should too. Please sign my petition, and together we can make Grand Dad a grand part of Nintendo's legacy.
