A chairde,

Here's a story from the Irish Independent about the 'mounting support' for our campaign!

In addition to this open letter - signed by several professors, historians and authors - we have secured the support for Mandate, Unite and Fórsa trade unions, and the support of the Galway Council of Trade Unions.

Senator Frances Black also spoke in favour of our proposal during a Seanad debate on the campaign to name the new national children's hospital after Dr. Kathleen Lynn.

It's great to see such widespread support for our campaign! But to get it over the line, we need YOUR help. Please share this petition far and wide.

And please email Galway City Council at the email addresses below, with the subject 'I support the Julia Morrissey Bridge Campaign' and a short paragraph encouraging the council to vote in favour of our proposal.

Go raibh míle! Together we can make the Julia Morrissey Bridge a reality!
