Gainesville City Commission meeting rescheduled for April 28, 2021

Hello everyone,
Thank you all for your continued support and patience. I wanted to let everyone know that the Gainesville City Commission has decided to move the vote on the St. Michael's rezoning to a special meeting on April 28th. The meeting will be held at City Hall and it begins at 6 p.m.
This will be the only item on the agenda and they will make the final decision at this meeting. It's important for each one of us to tell them why we don't want this rezoning application approved. I think we all want to do what is best for our community, our neighborhood and our family. However, the traffic and safety issues created by this development won't be good for anyone.
We have already submitted the 775 petition signatures and comments to the commissioners. If additional people sign the petition, we will submit those signatures and comments as well.
Below you will find the meeting details and various ways you can express your opinions.

Please take a moment to read an article which recently appeared in The Independent Florida Alligator. The story of University Avenue, sadly, could be the future for NW 43rd Street and the adjacent neighborhoods if we don't do every reasonable thing possible to make it safer now.
We urge you to - Say NO to the Rezone & Say YES to a Safer Community
