City Commission dragging their feet! On purpose?

It has been more than a month since ex Congresswoman Corrine Brown has been incarcerated to Federal Prison. Yet, her name remains on the RTS Transit Facility here in Gainesville despite the city commissions promise to have it removed. Do they need a paint brush? A volunteer to remove the name? Why is this taking so long and why must we continue to drive past this building each and every day to be reminded that honest hard working citizens were swindled out of their money for her personal gain? This is completely outrageous and needs to be immediately rectified. Enough time has passed, she IS in prison already. The mayor and city commission stated back in January that they would take steps to fix this yet now we are into March and nothing has been done. So, now we have not only been stolen from but our elected officials are lying to us as well. Enough is Enough! We again ask the commission to speed up this situation and get the job done! I will be happy to supply the paint, brush, and manpower and I'm sure many others would as well. Commissioner Ward? We know you have asked for the change and were also given an excuse... but how much time does this simple stroke of a paint brush take? City elections are about to take place... maybe we should make this an issue as well? Is it time to drain the swamp in Gainesville as well? It may be... this entire situation is completely outrageous! Now, we revamp this effort to finally get something done once and for all. Please sign this petition and pass it along so everyone will know that our commissioners are purposely side stepping and ignoring this issue. Let's get it done!
