Dear Supporters

Thanks to all your your support so far,  we were able to share our story and the  further injustice  inflicted on so many with The Guardian.   You can read our story here:

The Home Office’s behaviour is very insidious and further traumatising us. They pretend they’re helping you, but they’re not.  There are Windrush scandal survivors who are homeless, suffering from dementia, or paralyzed with fear. They need legal help. This is not about compensation – it’s about justice.

Claimants for the Windrush Compensation Scheme are consistently refused (over 5,500 eligible claims have been rejected with nil awards)  or  offered very low awards.   Whilst every other major compensation scheme provides free  legal representation, from the Horizon Post Office scandal to the Infected Blood Scandal, Windrush survivors are left to navigate  complex immigration law completely alone.  Help stop this double standard.

The evidence is overwhelming, groundbreaking new research by JUSTICE , the University of Sussex and Dechert LLP  found survivors of the Home Office Windrush Scandal are receiving drastically less compensation than they deserve. Giving them access to free legal advice can change this.

Our campaign is gathering momentum, please continue to support us  and the many  victims by sharing this petition  and writing to your MP using  this template

Thank you so much- people power can make a difference if enough of  us do this.

Warmest wishes

Hetticia & Vaun
