We've hit 300 signatures, but we still need more

Thank you for showing your support to FUND, FINISH & OPEN Karori Event Centre.

300 signatures is a great start but it's not enough to get WCC Councillors to really listen.

Please can you ask your friends and networks to SIGN & SHARE the petition with others.

Here’s what some of you have said about why the Karori Event Centre is important to them:

“ We contributed funds like so many in Karori years ago (which wasn’t easy with 5 kids) to help our community have this important facility and our whole whānau are saddened that we got so far, and it stands unfinished and empty. Please please help! ”

“ A lot of people have donated and counted on the Events Centre's bringing some life, opportunities and culture and energy to the suburb.

It is REALLY vital for the spirit of Karori that the Events Centre is completed! It would bring so much life to Karori, and be so beneficial to the community and future and current arts and talent of the suburb.

As a long-term resident, and a full-time performing artist nationally and internationally, I would like to see a long-term plan to support culture and arts performance in the Karori community.

In the absence of the Teachers Training College, which had numerous excellent facilities that were taken away with the demolition of that site, there is now a vacuum.”

“ The event centre will fill a very useful role across all of Wellington.”

Thanks again for your support.  Please continue to suport through sharing this petition.

Let's demonstrate to WCC Councillors that they must retain the approved funding in the budget to complete this project.
