We, the owners of Canyon Spectral:ON and Torque:ON e-bikes, are facing an unacceptable situation. Due to a serious battery defect, many of us have been unable to use our bikes for over six months. Canyon has repeatedly failed to meet its deadlines for replacement batteries and has left us without a clear resolution. We demand full refunds for our unusable bikes!
🔴 The Problem: Canyon’s Battery Defect & Broken Promises
🔹 Canyon acknowledged that their Spectral:ON and Torque:ON models have a hidden defect (vice caché) affecting the battery, which poses safety risks (fire hazard, short circuits).
🔹 In November 2024, Canyon informed customers about the issue and advised them to stop using their bikes immediately.
🔹 They initially promised a fix by February 2025, but this deadline was missed. Now, in end of March, there is still no confirmed resolution.
🔹 Despite this major failure, Canyon refuses to issue refunds, claiming that bikes have already been used – even though they are now worthless due to their battery issues.
⚖️ Our Rights: Why We Deserve a Full Refund
✅ Consumer protection laws (EU Directive 2020/1828) allow for collective action against companies that fail to deliver a functional product.
✅ A hidden defect (vice caché) entitles buyers to a full refund, regardless of previous use, if the defect was present at the time of purchase.
✅ The prolonged immobilization of our bikes has caused a major loss in value, making resale nearly impossible. Canyon took an industrial risk, and it is their responsibility—not ours—to assume the consequences.

We call on Canyon to:
🔹 Provide full refunds to affected customers who no longer want their bikes.
