🔹 What does a country’s membership in the international Register of Damage for Ukraine (RD4U) mean?

📍 The Register’s headquarters is located in The Hague.

When a state becomes a participant in the Register, it:

✔ Legally and politically supports the creation of an international compensation system.
✔ Has the right to participate in the governance of the mechanism.
✔ May make financial contributions.
✔ Contributes to the international recognition of the Russian Federation’s responsibility for the damage caused.
This does not mean that the country itself pays compensation to Ukraine.

The Register is the first step. The next step should be the establishment of an international compensation fund or tribunal. In this way, the Register prepares the legal foundation for a future compensation mechanism.

We propose that states consider the compensation mechanism outlined in the updates to this petition, based on a fund financed by interest generated from profits on frozen Russian assets.

🔹 Що означає «членство» країни в міжнародному реєстрі збитків для України RD4U?

📍 Штаб-квартира Реєстру знаходиться в The Hague.

Коли держава стає учасником Реєстру, вона:

✔ Підтримує юридично і політично створення міжнародної системи компенсацій.
✔ Має право брати участь в управлінні механізмом.
✔ Може робити фінансові внески.
✔ Сприяє міжнародному визнанню відповідальності РФ за шкоду.
Це не означає, що країна сама виплачує компенсації Україні.
Реєстр — це перший крок. Наступним має бути створення міжнародного компенсаційного фонду або трибуналу. Таким чином реєстр готує юридичну основу для майбутнього механізму компенсацій . 

Ми пропонуємо державам розглянути наведений в оновленнях до цієї петиції механізм компенсацій на основі фонду з відсотків з  прибутку заморожених російських активів.
