Have you heard the news? SDG&E plans on raising our electrical rates by approximately 5.3% per month in 2024 and our natural gas rates by 17.5% per month in 2024, compared to estimated 2023 rates. When I found this out I was in total shock! How can this company possibly justify these price-gouged rates when 25% of San Diego is currently behind on their bills?! 

If this absolutely enrages you like it does me; join me on March 23 at 2 pm & 6 pm - Location: Sherman Heights Community Center Multi-purpose Room, 2nd Floor 2258 Island Avenue San Diego, CA 92102 - This is the public participation hearing hosted by SDG&E regarding the planned rate increases in 2024 and 2025. Even as San Diegans struggle to pay these already price-gouged rates; SDG&E is coming for more. Come out to this event and make your voices heard. Unprecedented attendance to in-person events sends a message in and of itself, even if you don't plan on speaking. I plan on being at this meeting to tell SDG&E to their faces - FSDGE!

Additionally, April 1st at Noon - Location: City Hall Plaza in downtown San Diego - This is the "FIRE SDG&E!" rally hosted by Public Power San Diego, an organization advocating for a non-profit utility company. FSDGE will be at this rally taking signatures for the petition page, come out to this event to hear several speakers and discuss the solutions to the SDG&E problem. There will be live music and several organizations all united in their anger towards SDG&E
