The Iron Duke Brewery is locally owned and operated in one of the old stock houses at the Ludlow Mills.   The owners worked tirelessly for the last 3-4 years to get their dream of operating a successful small business up and running.  For over 2 years they have experienced steady growth and have earned the loyalty of so many customers from all over Western and Central Massachusetts.  

Unfortunately WestMass Development Corporation has not been a supportive landlord and has denied most requests made by this growing business.  Iron Duke is operating well within their rights as a brewery just as hundreds of other small brewery's do across the state and country.   WestMass will no longer allow a food truck or any form of entertainment on the grounds.  In addition they have denied several expansion requests even after the town government approved ALL permits.   WestMass is moving forward with eviction proceedings on the Iron Duke!  

The Iron Duke hopes to stay in this location because it is a perfect setting for their business and would like to have a positive relationship with WestMass moving forward so that they can continue to grown and expand.  They anticipate adding an additional 12-15 full time jobs in the next few years and hope to do that in Ludlow at the old historic Mills.
