My husband and I met when we were serving in the army. Some of the lessons we learned included the power of teamwork and sticking together…but the most important lesson is and always will be  - to never give up. As our army grows for correction in this matter that still rings true. A few reminders -

  • This update shares how clear this is. This one the sad reality of FUSD’s systemic issues. Eyesite is powerful when exploring truth.
  • The summer before my oldest son's senior year (2018), the water polo coaches were released from their coaching positions. One is an on campus teacher. Looking back, Coach Vinuela was lurking around then too.
  • Teachers can be moved to different sites. No further explanation needed.
  • Advocates for this have been working on this for almost THREE years. Several avenue’s have been attempted for resolution, none successful. As avenue’s have been attempted, the list of advocates has grown. WHEN this explodes, only elected officials will have themselves to blame. The list of avenue’s attempted to resolve this is extensive. Avenues that were meant for quiet resolution, a VERY BROKEN FUSD system failed to utilize. This leads me to believe that this Summer we will have to make as much noise as possible through every outlet possible.
  • It seems as if FUSD will not make any corrections until a class action lawsuit is filed or the media pressures them. Why do important matters have to reach a critical level for change? A CRISES LEVEL. THAT IS A HUGE PROBLEM ELECTED OFFICIALS!! Exhausting and abusing victims in your broken system is a horrible way to operate a school district. Updates will be shared about trauma inflicted on those involved in this. Starting with Coach Lopez. The losses she has taken is unacceptable. Pressure from both FUSD and the community she served has caused her trauma that should never be acceptable in any situation, let alone a school district.
  • FUSD ignoring this will NOT make it go away. It just fuels anger and reminds us how incompetent FUSD’s leaders are. People have a tendency to ignore situations where they know they are wrong. Ghosting is unacceptable and cowardly FUSD!
  • It is NEVER wrong for parents and community members…well actually anyone with MORALS to ensure kids are taken care of. We simply want the results of poor decisions made that devastated our kids corrected. That is and never will be too much to expect.
  • This petition has surpassed 800 signatures! We can see the momentum gaining traction in this situation. Please continue to share on social media and with people who would be interested in supporting this important cause. Each signature is another email address our updates are sent to resulting in more momentum.
  • Continue to write the FUSD asking for this to become an open agenda item. If that happens trustees will have to openly vote, revealing their priorities.

Dear Ms. Wittrup and Ms. Her,

I am writing today to request the FHS regular and offseason situation be formally added to the June 12th board meeting agenda during the open portion of the meeting. We would like to openly advocate for the needed corrective action to make the children of the FHS region the priority in this situation. Adding this to the board agenda would give constituents another chance to obtain the corrective action our children deserve.

I appreciate your consideration of this very important issue.

Thank you,
