Reminders -

1. THIS WILL NOT GO AWAY JUST BECAUSE WE ARE IGNORED AND GIVEN THE RUNAROUND.
2. The former FHS administration had zero concern about consequences. This played out so openly and just plain sloppy. A true testament to how broken the FUSD system is. A quote from a former student athlete - “I also stayed after (the program demise) was forced to shut down because of questionable decisions made. Decisions that we had no say on. The kids affected most by it knew what was going on; instead, we were told to “have fun and smile. You’re just kids.” (This is a direct quote from Fresno Unified staff following the incident). There was a huge difference in quality after her (Coach Lopez) leave. The coaches did not put in the effort, did not show they cared past the pool deck, and did not offer the support many of the kids needed. I saw the personal impact this had on the few students who stayed and those who didn’t participate during Coach Jenn’s time.” - 2023 FHS graduate, and voter in the next election.
3. The facts are known. The former FHS administration and FAMM are at fault. The kids have the consequences of their decisions.

5. The next election has several board members up for re-election. Use your vote to vote for candidates that actually listen and respond to constituents. Every single FUSD board member has constituents advocating for this program to be reinstated.

It’s so disheartening that we have had to put so much time and effort into getting FUSD to simply act with integrity and make the kids they serve a priority. Every experience I read from one of Coach Lopez’s athletes is like a punch to the gut. They deserve better, our community deserves better.
