Lars Maischak, a history teacher at Fresno State, has said on Twitter that President Trump needs to be hung to save American democracy.  He also said that Republicans should be executed in retaliation for the deportation of illegal immigrants.  He told the Fresno Bee that he doesn't really want Trump assassinated, but later said on Twitter that a death sentence against the president is "inevitable."  His entire Twitter feed is full of incendiary comments including one tweet in which he suggests that "racists" be shot in the head.  Another tweet asks if anyone has started soliciting money for a monument to honor Trump's assassin.  The school has so far taken a hands-off approach, but this needs to change.  While Maischak is certainly entitled to his opinion, he should not be in a position of power and authority over impressionable young minds while inciting violence against the president and those who support him.  We, the undersigned, demand that the school initiate disciplinary action against this teacher.  Preferably, he should be fired.
