If you or anyone that you know has ever had a loved one incarcerated in prison then you understand the number of hardships they face and the strain it can put on the individual and their family. This petition is to gain attention and support for a bill for prison reform designed to give thousands a second chance and increase their chances of re-entering society without re-offending. Not only will this bill improve life for prisoners, it will give them opportunities to receive more good conduct time. As well as opportunities that will help them be closer to home and able to contribute to their families’ well being while serving their time such as house arrest.
