Tom Félix, a 32-year-old French citizen, has been detained in Malaysia since August 2023 in inhumane conditions. Wrongly accused of possession of narcotics, he faces the death penalty, although his roommate admitted to being the owner of the cannabis. This young man, described by his relatives as honest and invested in his projects, is now the victim of a serious injustice. Your mobilization to challenge Emmanuel Macron could change his destiny.

The evidence is lacking in this file: no fingerprints or traces of Tom's DNA on the seized substances, and no link to drug trafficking has been established. His mother, Sylvie Félix, describes the devastating impact of this situation: "It is a mixture of annihilation and disbelief. He did nothing and found himself in the hell of a Malaysian prison." Indeed, he shares an overcrowded cell, suffers heat, malnutrition and physical violence. According to information relayed by his parents, Tom was beaten and is living a real ordeal.

His family and loved ones are already mobilizing, and it is urgent to give more scope to this mobilization so that France acts through diplomatic channels to guarantee a fair trial and denounce these unacceptable conditions of detention. As recalled by the association Ensemble Contre la Peine de Mort (ECPM), "the death penalty must be reserved only for the most serious crimes, excluding drug-related offences".

I don't know Tom or his family, but as a fellow citizen and resident of La Rochelle, his story has deeply touched me. It is our collective duty to defend an innocent young man exposed to the most extreme injustice. Every day that passes worsens his situation. We need your signature today to ask President Emmanuel Macron to speak out on this situation and to use everything in his power to release Tom Félix, and thus avoid an irreversible tragedy.
