PALATKA, Fla., Sept. 23, 2021 — The St. Johns River Water Management District has launched a web-based portal to collect feedback from local community members and stakeholders regarding the Kirkpatrick Dam and Rodman Reservoir, with a focus on interests surrounding the dam’s environmental and economic impact.
The online feedback will help inform future key decisions regarding the best path forward — continued management and operation of the structures or an alternative restoration strategy.
Individuals interested in providing input can access the online comment form and respond to specific questions here. The portal and online feedback form will remain active through 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 22.

YES, the "Great Florida Riverway" & its associated "not-for-profit" environmental groups set the bar very high for their own accuracy and credibility when during their promotional fundraising drive back in March 2021 -- on their own web-page -- they proclaimed that they had achieved 22,464 "Action Alert Signatures" in support of Ocklawaha River restoration!
Sometime after October 22, 2021 when the State of Florida official agency the St. Johns River Water Management District (or the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation) releases the official tabulation of the official results for the SJRWMD "Rodman Reservoir / Kirkpatrick Dam Comment Form" WE WILL SEE IF THE 22,464 NUMBER OF PRO-RESTORATION FOLKS IN FLORIDA VERIFIES AS BEING ACCURATE & DOCUMENTED OFFICIALLY!
