Remember General George Patton and the Russian General (Marshal) Georgi Zhukov and their meeting with the "ONE SON OF A BITCH TO ANOTHER" toast?
Well, "Ocklawahaman" Paul Nosca had an epic off-the-record "one son of a bitch to another" hour-or-so meeting with the late Putnam County Commissioner (and former Save Rodman Reservoir President) Ed Taylor in 2011 outside the Putnam County Courthouse within sight of the Confederate Monument. It was after Ed Taylor published in the "Rodman Review" my "Twenty Reasons Why Saving Rodman Reservoir is the Silver, Ocklawaha. and St. Johns Rivers' Loss" web-page.
The late County Commissioner Ed Taylor respected my writing abilities, my service in the U.S. Army and to the State of Florida in Tallahassee, and that I was a bass fisherman and an official member of NO non-governmental environmental group.
Ed Taylor as an elected Putnam County official had access to and studied all the available U.S., Florida, and county documents related to the Rodman Dam controversy. And Commissioner Taylor explained to me many of the potential legal problems for the pro-restoration groups if they pursued using the USFS tactic. One of the documents he referred to was the August 27, 1991 Memorandum of Understanding -- between the U.S. Department of the Army and the Canal Authority of the State of Florida regarding the transfer of ALL Federal lands at Rodman Dam and Eureka Dam to the State of Florida -- mentioned in the March 9, 1992 PDF document that I have posted on the Facebook public group page.
