"Ocklawahaman" Paul Nosca had honestly wondered for many years why hadn't all the "ALPHABET SOUPS OF 'NOT-FOR-PROFIT' ENVIRONMENTAL GROUPS" -- that profess to be in favor of Ocklawaha River restoration -- worked together to formulate a "HEAD COUNT" or REGISTER of all the folks that wanted Rodman Dam breached to restore a free-flowing Ocklawaha River?
I would have happily included my name on a comprehensive public listing of Ocklawaha River restoration supporters / FLORIDA VOTERS. But no such listing did I ever discover. WHY didn't the "SOUPS" start a sign-for-free $$$ roster MANY, MANY YEARS AGO? Maybe because $$$ fund raising in the decades ahead was much more important to them than breaching Rodman Dam in my lifetime?
So that is what I have attempted to accomplish with this "FREE THE OCKLAWAHA RIVER BY THE BREACHING OF RODMAN DAM" online SIGN FOR-FREE $$$ petition. 2,486 have signed FOR-FREE $$$. Let’s get to 2,500!
"Ocklawahaman" has only ONE environmental mission -- I want Rodman (Kirkpatrick) Dam breached to allow for a once-again free & swift flowing "By-God", "Source to the Sea", 56-mile Ocklawaha-Silver River system AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Once Rodman Dam has been breached to free the Ocklawaha River, it matters NOT to me whether any of the "alphabet soups of 'not-for-profit' environmental groups" still exist or not. Only a free Ocklawaha River and a beginning of the restoration of its native ecology is of any concern to me!
