FREE THE OCKLAWAHA RIVER BY THE BREACHING OF RODMAN DAM

5 de jul. de 2017
About the "FREE THE OCKLAWAHA RIVER BY THE BREACHING OF RODMAN DAM" online petition currently with 2,125 SIGNATURES and more than 550 supporting COMMENTS as of 0900 hrs EDT 7/8/17.
WOULD IT BE BETTER SERVED IF I OFFERED THE ADMINISTRATION OF IT ("FREE THE OCKLAWAHA RIVER BY THE BREACHING OF RODMAN DAM" online petition) TO FLORIDA DEFENDERS OF THE ENVIRONMENT (FDE) -- AND FDE ACCEPTED THE OFFER TO DO IT???
"Ocklawahaman" would back-away from it and let FDE manage and promote it -- possibly they could amass several thousand more signatures than I have been able to do and FDE would maybe have more clout in dealing with SJRWMD and FL DEP than me. I am trying to do the best that I can for Ocklawaha River restoration but my time that I can put into this project is dwindling.
Let me know what you folks think about this idea of mine -- letting FDE take over the petition (if they want to) -- please COMMENT regarding this proposal on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1937718656450177/!
Sincerely, "Ocklawahaman"

I really had wondered for many years why all the environmental groups hadn't worked together to formulate a "head count" of all the folks that wanted Rodman Dam breached to restore a free-flowing Ocklawaha River? I would have happily included my name on a comprehensive public listing of Ocklawaha River restoration supporters. But no such list did I ever discover, so that is what I have attempted to accomplish with this "FREE THE OCKLAWAHA RIVER BY THE BREACHING OF RODMAN DAM" online petition.
