Mōrena ki a koutou katoa!

We are almost at 500 signatures on the Free the Flow NZ petition — I can't believe it!! I remember being so excited to see that we had 50 signatures and never even thought about the fact we could be this high in signatures this early into the campaign. Thank you so much to each and every one of you who has supported, signed, shared, and engaged with this campaign so far.

This petition exists because access to period products should not stop when someone leaves school. While New Zealand has made important progress with free products in schools and recognised that these products are a necessity, many adults and people affected by cost-of-living pressures are still being left behind, and it is unacceptable for Aotearoa women to be denied menstrual healthcare necessities. Period products are essential, and no one should have to choose between basic menstrual care and putting food on their table.

Every signature helps show that this issue matters to people across Aotearoa. If you believe access should extend beyond schools, please continue sharing the petition and spreading the word, your support so far has been incredible, but we're not done yet!

Please remember that we have an Instagram page sharing updates and information about this topic: @freetheflownz
