Below is an update on Professor Saibaba's medical condition (which continues to deteriorate). It is an absolute miscarriage of justice that the Indian government continues to deny Saibaba the basic medical care that he needs to survive. They are clearly intent on turning his life-sentence into a death-sentence. This is not only a form of torture (a practice all too common in India), but also a message from the Indian government to other activists who dare to stand up for the poor and oppressed. The BJP/RSS and their corporate sponsors hope to make an example of Saibaba, and in doing so intimidate others into silence. But we can see that more and more are raising their voices against this corrupt and fascist government.

Yesterday i. e. on Saturday 28.09.19, through jail mulakahat We met Dr. G. N. Saibaba in Nagpur central jail. We supplied required medicines to him. There is no improvement in his health condition except further deterioration. His left shoulder muscle pain has further became more severe due to no proper treatment and medication. The doctors of Nagpur government medical college and hospital informed him that infection internally has spread in the damaged muscles. They said this is a seroius condition. He has been suffering from fever with shivering off and on regularly all these two months because of internal inflamation. Doctors advised him to join as inpatient into hospital on the same day of his hospital visit on 23 rd Sept 19. But jail authorities taken him back to jail. He may be admitted into government hospital on 1st or 2nd Oct. The neurologist informed that no proper treatment is available to treat Saibaba in the hospital. Doctors also advised physiotherapy on daily basis
Treatment is urgent and immediately required.
