I am pleased to announce that we have nearly reached 40,000 signatures on my petition to free Paul Watson! For those who do not know, Japan has formally requested captain Watson’s extradition. In less concrete but more recent news, according to anonymous Japanese officials in the “sankei daily” newspaper, Denmark has unofficially said that they are ok to extradite Paul on august 15th. Not only that, but there are now rumours that the Faroe Islands want to request his extradition as well, which would severely complicate things, not in a good way. This means that it is more urgent than ever that we do everything possible to free him. On that note, the best 2 ways you can help gather signatures for this petition are by promoting it through the donate option on change.org, and sharing it to your friends, and on social media! Promotions have helped us gather over 29,000 signatures so far! Please use #freepaulwatson when posting to spread the word as effectively as possible. Please also consider joining the campaign on chilli for many more incredibly effective actions such as emailing politicians, contacting celebrities, and more! The link will be pasted below. It is all hands on deck as the decision weather or not to extradite the captain will be made in less than 2 weeks.
