Hi everyone,
We wanted to share an update about our 12 Days of Christmas Campaign. This campaign is our way of turning up the volume.
So far, the FCDO and UK Government have offered only basic support. There has been no visible urgency, no meaningful action, and no sign of a real progress to secure their release.
So over the next few weeks, we’re appealing directly to people who do have power and influence to change all of that.
The Concept
Over 12 days, we are sending a series of letters - beginning with a light-hearted plea to Father Christmas (you may have seen that already) and then moving to real, influential individuals:
- The Prime Minister
- His Majesty the King
- International partners
- …and others who can make a difference.
Each letter will be formally sent, and we’ll share a short summary of each one on social media.
Although the framing is festive, the strategy is serious. Hostage releases are often achieved through third-party intervention and international influence. (For example, Peter and Barbie Reynolds were freed from Afghanistan this year through a deal brokered by Qatar.)
How it works and how you can help
The core message stays the same:
“Bring Craig and Lindsay home free.”
- Share the Posts Widely - Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, X, anywhere you can.
- Tag the Person of the Day. This helps ensure their office actually sees it. Examples: @Keir_Starmer
- Repeat the Key Message - Whenever you share, please include: “Bring Craig and Lindsay home free.”
- Invite Others. Ask 2–3 friends to join in. Momentum grows in these small, steady steps.
We are pushing to reach 100,000 petition signatures before Christmas, and this campaign is a crucial part of making that happen.
Many thanks for your support and help
Joe and the campaign team
