イスラエル大使館のある麹町の文科省、日比谷公園周辺数カ所にFREE GAZAとスプレーでグラフィティーアートによる抗議アクションをして逮捕と長期勾留されたノイズアーティスト 関 風人くんの不起訴釈放を求めます！！
風人くん本人の明確な意思はどうあれ、半年もの間イスラエルによるガザの民間人への大虐殺が日本政府によって容認されている中でFREE GAZAとグラフィティするのは当然だと私は感じました。
風人くんは『自分たちの税金がガザ虐殺への加担に使われることが許せなかった』とも供述しています！ごもっとも！！本当に本当にそれは皆んなそうだと思う！！
(しかし弁護士さんを通した本人とのやり取りでは、この正義のアクション！みたいな感じはメディアにより一部を切り取られ、歪曲された、事実とやや異なるイメージがSNSを通じて独り歩きをしている。本人は描いた内容はさておきグラフィティした場所ややり様に関しては反省してるとのこと)
警察と検察は長期に渡って勾留して取り調べを行うなど、非常に非人道的な扱い！！こんなに長期勾留できるのは日本とイスラエルくらいだそうで、国連からも人権侵害として日本は言われています！
国が行動を起こさない、もしくは国が国民に対して牙を向いた時に、声を上げたり行動した人がこのように長期勾留されて起訴されて犯罪者となり社会から排除される仕組み自体が我々民衆にとってめっちゃ危険です！！！

2024年4月17日 - パレスチナ人囚人連帯の日
2024年3月30日、日本人アーティストの関風人（以下、関氏）は、東京の警察に逮捕される前に、複数の場所の建物に「FREE GAZA Fuck Zionists & Tory」というメッセージをステンシルした。彼の大胆な抗議行動は、イスラエル国家によるパレスチナ人の大量虐殺が続いていることに日本中の注目を集めた。逮捕された彼の体験は、残忍なイスラエルのアパルトヘイト体制下の軍事刑務所で苦しんでいる何千人ものパレスチナ人囚人たちとの連帯の重要性を私たちに思い起こさせる。
逮捕後、関氏は麹町警察署に勾留され、13日間釈放されなかった。勾留はさらに10日間延長され、最長23日間となった。ヒューマン・ライツ・ウォッチは、この長期勾留を日本の「人質司法」と呼んでいる。(1)受刑者は基本的に、限られたコミュニケーションしかとれない状態で拘束され、心理的虐待や脅迫を受け、判決前のこの期間に罪を認めるよう強要される。
同様に、パレスチナ人はしばしばイスラエルの警察や軍に恣意的な理由で逮捕・拘束され、「行政拘禁」の下に置かれる。裁判も起訴もされずに何年も拘束されることもあり、独房やその他の非人道的な状況に置かれることも多い。イスラエルの人権団体B'tselemは2023年9月、イスラエルは1,310人の行政拘禁者を含む4,764人の囚人を拘束していると報告した(2)。
しかし、10月7日以降、イスラエルの刑務所に収容されているパレスチナ人囚人の数は2倍以上に増えている。Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Associationの報告によると、現在9,500人のパレスチナ人政治犯が投獄されており、その中には80人の女性と200人の子供が含まれている。過去6ヵ月間、ヨルダン川西岸とガザの両方で何千人もの囚人が大量に拘束され、誘拐されたことは、パレスチナ人社会を恐怖に陥れるための新たな戦術である。

イスラエルとその資金提供者（アメリカ、ドイツ、イギリス、フランスなど）による、容赦ない国家的暴力に反対する行動をとる反戦の声、活動家、アーティストに対する継続的な弾圧と犯罪化は、予想されることであり、危険なことでもある。日本では最近、8月6日の広島での抗議集会が封鎖され、それに関連して5人の反戦活動家が拘束された。世界中の政府が反戦運動を締め付けている。私たちは、私たちの声が確実に届くよう、創造的な連帯行動をとる準備をしなければならない。日本で逮捕される危険を冒すことは、人生、仕事、そして日本社会における将来にとって深刻な結果をもたらす。パレスチナへの連帯が緊急に必要とされている今、関氏の勇気ある抗議行動は、より強力なものとなった。
イスラエル支持者たちが「人質を解放せよ！」と叫び続けるなか、私たちが忘れてはならないのは、何千、何万というパレスチナ人囚人とその支持者たちであり、なかには何十年も人質に取られ続けている人たちもいる。

April 17, 2024 - Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Day
On March 30, 2024, Japanese artist Kazehito Seki stenciled the message "FREE GAZA Fuck Zionists & Tory" on over 20 buildings before being arrested by Tokyo police. Kazehito's bold action drew attention across Japan to the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people by the state of Israel. His experience of arrest without charge or trial also reminds us of the importance of solidarity with the thousands of Palestinian prisoners who are suffering in military prisons under the brutal Israeli apartheid regime.
After his arrest, Kazehito was detained at the Kojimachi Police Station and denied bail for 13 days. His detention was extended for another 10 days to the maximum 23 days. Human Rights Watch has called this long period of remand, or pre-trial detention, the Japanese "Hostage Justice" system. (1) Prisoners are essentially held with limited communication, subjected to psychological abuse and intimidation, and coerced into admissions of guilt during this time before sentencing.
Palestinians, similarly, are often arrested and detained by the Israeli police and military for arbitrary reasons and placed under "administrative detention". They can be held for years without trial or charge, and are often detained in solitary confinement and in other inhuman conditions. Israeli human rights organization, B'tselem, reported in September of 2023, Israel was holding 4,764 prisoners, including 1,310 administrative detainees. (2)
But since October 7th, the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons has more than doubled. Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association reports that 9,500 Palestinians political prisoners are currently incarcerated, including 80 women and 200 children. The mass detention and kidnapping of thousands of prisoners both in the West Bank and Gaza over the past six months is yet another tactic to terrorize Palestinian communities.
Global media, including Reuters and the New York Times, have recently reported on the rampant abuse in Israeli prisons. (2) Prisoners who were recently freed back to Gaza reported physical and psychological torture, sexual assault and violence, lack of food and water, and awful sanitary conditions. Many prisoners have reported suffering from limb amputations after having their arms and legs bound in forced positions for long periods of time.
The longest-serving Palestinian prisoner, writer Walid Daqqa, died this past April 7 due to medical neglect after 38 years in Israeli prison. Daqqa's death from bone marrow cancer has also shed light upon the systematic dehumanization and horrendous conditions of Palestinian prisoners, as well as their principled and creative resistance to decades of oppression.
Kazehito's arrest for his FREE GAZA graffiti is just one of thousands of Palestinian solidarity activists who have been arrested for their actions around the globe in an attempt to stop the genocide and end Israel's siege on Gaza. In Berlin, German police have aggressively arrested and brutalized hundreds of Palestinians and solidarity activists. Many German Jews who are in full support of Palestinian Liberation have also been arrested and targeted by the police. (4) On April 14th, The Palestine Congress, a conference of academic and community activists, was raided and shut down by Berlin police. Several scheduled speakers, including a surgeon who worked in Gaza, Ghassan Abu Sittah, were stopped at German borders and banned from entering the country. (5)
On April 15th, direct actions by independent groups across 6 continents caused mass disruptions leading to hundreds of arrests as activists blockaded bridges, highways, airport terminals, ports, and weapons manufacturing sites. (6)
A Russian teenager, age 17, was also recently put into pre-trial detention for violating her house arrest after writing anti-war graffiti reading "Death to the Regime!" on a garage in Siberia in 2022. (7)
The continued repression and criminalization of anti-war voices, activists, and artists taking action against unmitigated state violence by Israel and its funders (The US, Germany, the UK, France, etc.) is both expected and dangerous. Japan's recent shuttering of protest gatherings on August 6th in Hiroshima and detainment of 5 anti-war activists in relation, as well as Kazehito's detainment, are warnings for all political activists in Japan. Governments worldwide are clamping down on anti-war movements, and we must be prepared to take creative solidarity actions to ensure that our voices are heard. Risking arrest in Japan has serious consequences for one's life, work, and future within Japanese society, making Kazehito's courageous graffiti action that much more potent in a time of urgent need for Palestinian solidarity.
As Israel supporters continue to yell "Free the Hostages!", what we must remember are the thousands upon thousands of Palestinian prisoners, the 200 imprisoned children, and the supporters being arrested worldwide, who continue to be held hostage, some for decades at a time.
Let Kazehito Seki's arrest, imprisonment, and impending release remind us here in Japan that the struggle for Palestinian Liberation depends on the commitment of people all around the world who believe that Peace, Justice & Freedom is possible for the Palestinian people and ALL oppressed peoples. We must be willing to take REAL risks, even to our own careers, reputations, and lives, in order to do what is right: END the Genocide! END Israeli Occupation! END Israeli Apartheid NOW!

The mass detention and kidnapping of thousands of prisoners both in the West Bank and Gaza over the past six months is yet another tactic to terrorize Palestinian communities.
Global media, including Reuters and the New York Times, have recently reported on the rampant abuse in Israeli prisons. (2) Prisoners who were recently freed back to Gaza reported physical and psychological torture, sexual assault and violence, lack of food and water, and awful sanitary conditions. Many prisoners have reported suffering from limb amputations after having their arms and legs bound in forced positions for long periods of time.
The longest-serving Palestinian prisoner, writer Walid Daqqa, died this past April 7 due to medical neglect after 38 years in Israeli prison. Daqqa's death from bone marrow cancer has also shed light upon the systematic dehumanization and horrendous conditions of Palestinian prisoners, as well as their principled and creative resistance to decades of oppression.
Kazehito's arrest for his FREE GAZA graffiti is just one of thousands of Palestinian solidarity activists who have been arrested for their actions around the globe in an attempt to stop the genocide and end Israel's siege on Gaza. In Berlin, German police have aggressively arrested and brutalized hundreds of Palestinians and solidarity activists. Many German Jews who are in full support of Palestinian Liberation have also been arrested and targeted by the police. (4) On April 14th, The Palestine Congress, a conference of academic and community activists, was raided and shut down by Berlin police. Several scheduled speakers, including a surgeon who worked in Gaza, Ghassan Abu Sittah, were stopped at German borders and banned from entering the country. (5)
On April 15th, direct actions by independent groups across 6 continents caused mass disruptions leading to hundreds of arrests as activists blockaded bridges, highways, airport terminals, ports, and weapons manufacturing sites. (6)
A Russian teenager, age 17, was also recently put into pre-trial detention for violating her house arrest after writing anti-war graffiti reading "Death to the Regime!" on a garage in Siberia in 2022. (7)
The continued repression and criminalization of anti-war voices, activists, and artists taking action against unmitigated state violence by Israel and its funders (The US, Germany, the UK, France, etc.) is both expected and dangerous. Japan's recent shuttering of protest gatherings on August 6th in Hiroshima and detainment of 5 anti-war activists in relation, as well as Kazehito's detainment, are warnings for all political activists in Japan. Governments worldwide are clamping down on anti-war movements, and we must be prepared to take creative solidarity actions to ensure that our voices are heard. Risking arrest in Japan has serious consequences for one's life, work, and future within Japanese society, making Kazehito's courageous graffiti action that much more potent in a time of urgent need for Palestinian solidarity.
As Israel supporters continue to yell "Free the Hostages!", what we must remember are the thousands upon thousands of Palestinian prisoners, the 200 imprisoned children, and the supporters being arrested worldwide, who continue to be held hostage, some for decades at a time.
Let Kazehito Seki's arrest, imprisonment, and impending release remind us here in Japan that the struggle for Palestinian Liberation depends on the commitment of people all around the world who believe that Peace, Justice & Freedom is possible for the Palestinian people and ALL oppressed peoples. We must be willing to take REAL risks, even to our own careers, reputations, and lives, in order to do what is right: END the Genocide! END Israeli Occupation! END Israeli Apartheid NOW!
