I have thought long and hard about the Campaign and the resources needed by Government to fight the Coronavirus outbreak and although I believe the Campaign is incredibly important, at the moment, the Country is facing something that needs all its focus.
Some of the key people needed to help with the Campaign have had their diaries cleared for non-essential projects in order to give their full attention to Coronavirus which is totally understandable.
Therefore, I will put the Campaign on hold in the short term until this critical time passes and diaries are more free to concentrate on projects such as this. By putting it on hold I mean that I won't be posting updates (unless there is a response to the Campaign) and I won't be contacting key personnel unless they indicate that there is time for them to work on the issues I put forward. However, once the crisis has passed, I will be knocking on doors again to hopefully get everything restarted.
I do hope you all understand and support this move. Cancer patients and those with reduced immune systems will, understandably, be very concerned about keeping well at this time and taking away any resources from their care would not be correct.
What I would say is that signatures to the Campaign shouldn't stop because they are still important and each signature definitely counts.
Thank you for all your support so far and I hope you'll bear with me.
