(Letter dated 12/11/2022) Supporters, loved ones & friends,
Another year in the books & hope is still at an all-time high. Recalling this year, it’s been slow but that is expected. The appeal process takes time. There has been movement in my case & I as well as the Holtzclaw team were ready for war if the civil trial had happened in the federal lawsuits filed by many of the accusers against me and the City of Oklahoma City.
It saddens me to see the accusers’ lawyers still go after a payout from the City now that the accusers have dropped their lawsuits against me. Even with further contradictive statements & an accuser testifying I never touched her, their lawyers still push for money. At the end of the day it comes down to hard-working taxpayer dollars that are at stake.
Support for my exoneration continues to grow & hopefully with time the public outcry reaches public officials who are not corrupt or politically biased, and they will take action, and call for an investigation of my wrongful conviction.
To start the new year, I would like to do more of an interactive reach-out to supporters by doing Q & A sessions. I encourage everyone to ask questions. I think this is a great way to not only learn about the case, but actually get to know more about me. I’m nothing remotely close to what they portray me as, so please, everyone, tune in when we have a Q & A online! I look forward to everyone’s questions and am ready to start the new year!
Also, thank you everyone for the kind birthday wishes & everyone who continues to support my innocence!
Daniel Holtzclaw
