(Letter dated 1/1/2021) To my sincere supporters & love ones,
Today marks the first day of the year. My goals for this year are the following: increase the petition signatures by 20,000, have success in the courts, increase awareness of wrongful convictions, continue to spread awareness of my case & the facts via social media (the videos are great, please upload more), and continue to increase interaction with the governor (emails, snail mail, in-person interviews, etc.).
Personally I would like to strive and attain the overall record in this facility for maxing out. The three lifts are squat, deadlift, & the bench. Currently I’m in the top ten and hoping with some serious dedication I’ll achieve my goal before 2022. Also, I would like to grow spiritually. Being in prison is a very negative place. You have to train your psyche to disregard negative aspects you see on a daily basis. Finally, I would like to try to read over 100 books.
Recently, my sister posted an update about Covid in this facility. Just to add a little bit more, when it arrived it spread like wildfire. I was lucky to get infected later on than the other inmates. My symptoms were cold chills & hot flashes the very first day. The following week or two I felt fatigued and tired. I remember trying to do a quick hour workout in the cell and actually calling it quits after ten minutes. Now I’m fully recovered. It kind of reminded me of the swine flu years back. The facility is still on a lockdown but it’s progressing to a normal state. I’m hoping we’ll be back to normal operations here in a month. I’m able to go outside and work out in the “yard” with some old school equipment. The video visitation is back. It is great to talk to normal citizens. The interaction among inmates is crazy and I’m sure if you guys could be a fly on the wall, you would find it pretty entertaining and funny.
I’ve been thinking of a way to interact with you guys better. I think with one of my supporters that visits me we could do a video record of some questions on a video visit and post it on social media. I encourage you guys to continue to write me and ask questions about anything. To be able to interact with normal people gives me a sense of normalcy. For those who have written me, I hope I was able to respond back to you as fast as possible and I appreciate your time and efforts.
Finally, again guys thank you very much from my heart! Without you guys, I would be lost. So many people have come from all around the world to aid my case and ultimately help me get exonerated. I send my love and everyone have a great year and stay safe!
