Dear Supporters,

I am thrilled to share that yesterday marked a significant milestone as we successfully conducted the #OdishaBusYatra, a powerful on-ground event that brought together 70 women and transwomen from various walks of life. This Bus Yatra was a collaborative effort by 11 Civil Society Organizations in Odisha; Safe Odisha For Her, Third Gender Welfare Trust, The Humanity, Ekta Parishad Odisha, Atmashakti Trust, Mahila Shramajibee Manch, Bhubaneswar Bikasha Sangathan, CSNR Odisha, Odisha Rainbow Collective, CEPPA, Samarpan Seva Foundation. Our collective voice echoed through the streets, making a resounding statement on the need for free bus service for women and transwomen in Odisha,

Simultaneously, change leaders at Nguvu Collective took to Twitter and Instagram, providing real-time updates from the ground, tagging government officials, our Chief Minister, IAS officials, and media outlets. The impact was undeniable – our Bus Yatra caught the attention of multiple media platforms, resulting in widespread coverage that amplified our message to a larger audience. And I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you who have been an integral part of this journey.

The momentum is building, and with your unwavering support, we are gaining the attention needed to drive positive change. I am now more determined and clear about the next steps in our mission. Together, we can make Odisha's Public Transport System truly inclusive and equitable for all.

I urge you to continue supporting this cause by signing and sharing our petition within your community. Your involvement is crucial in creating a safer and more accessible transportation system for women in Odisha. You can share this campaign petition on WhatsApp with a single click. (Click Here)

Let's persist in our efforts and aim for a brighter, more inclusive, more equitable future.

Thank you for standing strong with us.

In solidarity,
Prachi
