I am amazed that this petition has reached over 1300 signatures! I'm so grateful to everyone who has signed and shared.

As of Oct. 29th, it has been two weeks since Alejandro was taken--two weeks too many. He is currently being held away from friends and family in Jena, LA. A few days ago, he filed a habeas corpus petition, arguing that ICE targeted him for detainment because of his advocacy work with immigrants. In Knoxville, we are hoping for a good outcome.

Another way to help is by calling the New Orleans regional ICE office at 504.599.7800. Demand Alejandro's release and that he continue to have access to legal counsel and to the insulin medication he needs.

If you live in TN, please call your representatives and senators. Ask them to advocate for Alejandro's release so he can fight his case at home, and ask them to speak out against ICE's deportation machine.
