Free parking for Frankston

The issue

The State Government's $63 million Young St Precinct Revitalisation will transform our CBD, driving more business investment into Frankston's heart.

The State Government and Bayside's temporary free two hour parking trial has been extremely successful in bringing customers back to our CBD, bringing to light to the fact that council parking fees are a major obstacle for business in the CBD. Long term hardship experienced by traders can be attributed to Frankston Council's parking fees driving customers away. Incredibly, Frankston Council increased their parking fees last month making the traders situation worse by driving more customers away.

We respectfully request that Frankston Council take responsibility for this situation and use their power to remove the number one obstacle to trading in Frankston by providing more free parking throughout the CBD.
