HISD School Board Trustees Plan Masive Layoffs

We knew it was coming and now, the HISD school board is planning massive layoffs for teachers and staff. With a 107 Million dollars 2016 budget shortfall and a 211 million dollar construction deficit for ongoing construction projects, this school Board of Trustees is still planning to spend an estimated 2 million dollars for changing 8 Houston schools names. That just doesn't make sense. This school board has refused to listen to the people of our communities. For this reason, we are going to have to fight them in court.
