I (Robin Merrill) have been approved for a "Neighbor Presentation" at the Fort Lauderdale City Commission meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at City Hall. I will submit the signatures on this Petition and a 3 minute speech with my plea to have the City consider this request. I will write out the Request on a piece of leather, in homage to the Buckskin Declaration which was recently found and will be on display at the Ah Tah Thi Ki Seminole Museum very soon. The leather Petition will be handed in to the Mayor and City Commission. This "Neighbor Presentation" is the next step in hoping that the City Commission will then create an "Agenda Item" so that they can decide the fate of this Request, and allow Public Comment. -Show up and show your support at City Hall. Wear Patchwork or indigenous attire if you feel led to. On a personal note, Dec. 1 I will be celebrating my 30th year Anniversary as a Missionary. I will be making this presentation as an Act of Contrition, in response to the atrocities committed in the past that were done "in the name of Christ" and have caused much harm. We cannot undo the past, but we are responsible for our actions Today. This will be done in LOVE and not a Protest. Please join us either in person on Tues night or by sharing this Petition.
