The final cost for 11th Street Safety Project totaled $1.65m.  This included the original components, plus many community-requested items and strategic multimodal improvements.  These items include:

Pedestrian refuge islands at both Norhill and Columbia;
Pedestrian/bike refuge island at White Oak Drive and Michaux;
Improved median and pedestrian crossing & signal at Heights and 11th;
Heights far-side bus stops;
Concrete median between Dorothy and Shepherd;
Pedestrian crossing at Dorothy;
Neighborhood bikeway striping and signage along Michaux;
Concrete curb, bike box, and green paint on Michaux at Pecore;
Concrete curb at Ashland;
Cast-in-place curb; and
Intersection alignment and curb extension at 11th across from Pine Ridge.
 

Funds for the project came from the City’s Capital Improvement Program.
