Records received from Freedom of Information Act requests to District 220 show that the violations of Member Chan Ding have cost taxpayers over $33,000.00 in legal bills. Why should taxpayers be responsible for the cost of Chan Ding’s failure to follow ethics policies that she should have been well aware of as a member of the D220 Policy Committee and a 4 plus year member of the Board of Ed? This is money diverted from our students. Chan Ding should be responsible for these costs, not our hardworking taxpayers.
