Today the Syberia 1 Remaster was announced during the Games made in France event. Here is everything that was said by game director, Aurélien LEVEQUE, and game designer, Bastien BLASSER.

The project is a remaster not a remake, developed in Unity by Virtuallyz Gaming over the past 1.5 years.
The game is scheduled to release in Q4 2025 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
All original audio assets, including music, sound effects, and voiceovers, have been restored and implemented. (they even had to install WinXP and use an old program to retrieve some of the original 3D assets!)
The gameplay shown was only in English and French but the full game should include the same languages as the original according to the official Syberia twitter account.
The goal is to respect the original game (no content has been cut or watered down) while still modernizing it to attract new players. To do so, the team's references were Benoit Sokal's artbooks, early drafts, as well as Syberia 4, especially for the UI and Kate's movements. But longtime fans can expect a few surprises, such as new puzzles connected to the automatons, so it will still be a new experience whether you're a newcomer or not.
The camera system has been improved to feel more dynamic, with more movement during dialogues, exploration, and when first entering new zones, where it now offers a preview of the environment.
The team consulted with Lucas LAGRAVETTE, game director/writer of Syberia 3 and 4 as well as game director on Amerzone, to ensure they had a "Sokalian" perspective during development
The game will also be playable in VR
A playable demo is not planned at the moment
Nothing was said for a potential Syberia 2 remastered
