Dear petitioners, 

I know I haven't posted any updates in a while. While private life has been busy, new information about Syberia have also barely been released.
I firstly want to thank all of you for signing the petition and for almost reaching 200 signatures for this very nieche topic on this platform.

Sadly however the future of a fifth Syberia does currently not look promising. 
French media have reported that Microids is in the middle of a restructuring as they call it and that they will close the studio in Paris and thus let go of the 30 workers there.

However as far as my research goes the studio that Sokal worked in and that Syberia has been made in was not Paris but Montreal. Paris however has worked on the rework of Amerzone, another game from Sokals feather.

The firm thus might refocus their work on less games, and I am hoping that Syberia will be one of them.

While 200 signatures are a good milestone we will most likely need more to convince microids, but I will continue to try and show Microids the support they have for a continual of the Syberia line.
