As if to underline existing problems at Greens, at just after 6.00 this morning, Friday 17 Nov, there were only three (3) vacant parking bays in the main car park. It felt like Cottesloe only noisier. No, I'm not advocating more parking. More parking means more people, more pressure - we know that.
This Tuesday 21 Nov at 4.00 pm, Council meets to consider rezoning Lot 3 South Coast Highway from Rural to Tourist. This is the land directly opposite the entrance to William Bay Road where the developer intends to build a caravan park, shop, restaurant, brewery, worker and other additional accommodation, carparks, agri-tourism and aquaculture activities. Council officers have recommended that the rezoning proceed.
The public is welcome to attend this meeting to observe or address Councilors before they deliberate. I hope that many of you can be there. Council should be faced with real people, with real concerns about this development, the conservation of our natural and rural environment and Denmark's future.
Thanks again. Please continue to share the petition and your comments with others.
Keep on,
Helen Spencer
