Thank you to everyone who has signed our petition, 200 in just 4 days since we launched it. We are heartened by the fact that the neglect of the Leas upsets you as much as it does us, as we have for a very long time felt we were alone. You have taken the first steps to help stop the decline and to hopefully reverse what has been happening unopposed for years, which has been Folkestone & Hythe District Council's "Laissez-faire" approach towards the slowing down or reversing of the constant encroaching upon our sea views along our Leas Promenade of hedges and non indigenous trees.
None of us are tree haters; we just want the trees that sit perilously close to the top of the cliff/hillside to be felled to prevent further landslides in the future.
We must save our Leas and its far-reaching views out to sea along its entirety for future generations to enjoy.
