I was interviewed by News 13 in Orlando again! Now, the article says that the state cannot waive the tolls from the outage, but we will continue to fight until justice is served! Here’s the quote from the article: “A spokesman for Gov. Rick Scott and FDOT say the law limits his authority to do that, citing Florida Statute 338.155. The statute says: The secretary or the secretary’s designee may suspend the payment of tolls on a toll facility when necessary to assist in emergency evacuation. The statute does not provide for any other instance where tolls may be suspended.” I feel that we need to stand up and say enough is enough and we need to win this fight and have Conduent pay for the tolls because it was their fault for the outage, not the customers!
