Thank you all for signing this petition and standing up for Rebekah! Please take a moment to read about a few very recent developments.
Rebekah appeared before Leon Circuit Judge John Cooper moments ago. The live stream was available as part of a recently posted article in local media.
WFLA reports that, according to an affidavit, she is charged with "one count of offenses against users of computers, computer systems, computer networks and electronic devices."
During Rebekah's appearance, the state requested that she wear a GPS tracker and have no access to computers or phones as conditions of her pretrial release. Judge Cooper did not impose those restrictions, recognizing doing so would mean that Rebekah couldn't work until her trial had concluded.
Transparency and dissent are crucial in a free and open society, especially during an ongoing pandemic. Please continue to share and get the word out about Rebekah's situation.
