A joint Evening Standard/ITV News investigation has revealed that people who have already died are being prosecuted and convicted in the fast-track Single Justice Procedure. 

We spoke to Jenny Beasley, a mother whose three-month-old daughter died and she was then prosecuted over one single day of lapsed car insurance.

The government's response to all of this has been limited - a 'review' - but no solid promises and nothing happening in a hurry. 

Meanwhile, people with cancer, dementia, and learning difficulties continue to be convicted over unpaid bills.
