This is the disappointing response I have received from SDOT via the Move 2025 staff contact.   I think it is a bunch of smoke verging on gaslighting.

I connected with our bike and paving teams and learned that the signs below are wayfinding signs providing distances to a destination. Lake Washington Blvd in particular is not classified as a bike facility/route but as a route commonly used by bicycles.

We are currently working on making sure our online maps and our bike maps use consistent language to identify these types of routes. 

Regarding repaving portions of Lake Washington Blvd, this street has been considered for future maintenance funding and we expect to be able to share more in the coming years about maintenance planned for this area.
