Friends, after meeting with the DOB tech team, the bad news is that they have turned their focus away from the BIS and are not investing time & energy to fix the many IT issues...
The good news is that the DOB Now portal is a work in progress and they are interested in feedback on how to fix the system for everyone's benefit going into the future!
In the words of Marc Wollemborg, DOB Director of IT: "It's not an overnight project, and we need to balance functionality and real world security concerns and adapt our system accordingly. There is a budget for improving the systems, which is not unlimited, but by bringing these issues to our attention we can learn from each other and provide better solutions... "
Bottom line:
We've opened a line of communication with the IT department and we will keep them updated with any IT concerns we come across on behalf of our clients & associates.
