Currently, the bus transporting cancer patients to Galway for treatment has no toilet facilities.

There are talks of a new bus being decided in the coming months, one that would include toilet facilities.

Yet last November, an upgraded, purpose‑built bus was officially launched with onboard toilet facilities, wheelchair accessibility, and wider, more comfortable seating.

This upgraded bus stopped operating in August 2026.

I believe we deserve to learn why this bus is no longer operational — and whether this decision can be changed.

Our loved ones deserve parity, similar to the level of dignity and comfort that VIPs would receive if they were travelling on this cancer bus service to Galway from our region.
