Associate Professor Kate Barclay said back in 2016 after years of research that the Government must have the socio economic study done before the reform went ahead and also Professor Alistair Mcllgorm was the Professor who said we needed around 40 million dollars to do this reform. That said they also did say we need the reform in the Parliamentary Inquiry. However there is no getting away from their report /study and their words and findings which show now after what has happened to our industry the sheer enormity of the seriousness of what this government has done to this industry and its neglect in mitigating the negative impacts on commercial fishers and their families.  Please read on.
